Move from text to a real conversation when you both want to. Velyra calls work in your browser and become available after mutual Likes.
A Like expresses interest in a profile. Calls require a mutual Match, which means you Like the other member and they Like you back. A single Like does not enable the call. Open the full profile and choose Like; the other member needs to make the same choice independently.
Both members need confirmed email addresses, eligible active accounts and enabled call privacy. A block on either side prevents calls between the pair. The interface can show a profile as online without the member being ready to answer, so an online indicator is not a promise of availability.
Open your conversation in Messages, choose Voice call or Video call, and wait for the recipient to accept. The recipient can decline. After acceptance, use Join call to connect and allow microphone or camera access in the browser. Permissions are requested separately from accepting the invitation.
During a connected call you can mute or unmute the microphone, turn the camera on or off, switch between cameras where supported, and end the call. Call settings show recent calls and let you turn off incoming calls from mutual Matches or block a specific member’s calls.
No phone number is needed to use the browser call feature. Keep the call page open while talking. If you test with two accounts, use two separate devices for a reliable audio and video test; browser tabs on a single device can compete for the camera and microphone.
Automatic translation applies to text messages when the service is available. Calls currently transmit your microphone audio and camera video without live speech translation. Your interface language belongs to your account and does not change to the other member’s language.
Check that both people have Liked each other, both emails are confirmed, neither account is restricted, and incoming calls are allowed on both sides. A person already in another call may also be unavailable. You can always choose not to answer, mute, turn off your camera or end the call.
